BJP’s P. Rajeev Files Complaint Against Congress MLA Ravikumar at Hubballi Police Station
Hubballi, EXPRESS News: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has lodged a formal complaint against Congress MLA Ravikumar Gowda (also known as Ravi Ganiga), accusing him of spreading false propaganda regarding alleged bribery offers made by BJP leaders to topple the state Congress government.
The complaint was filed by BJP State General Secretary P. Rajeev at the Hubballi Suburban Police Station on Sunday evening. Rajeev stated that the allegations made by MLA Ravikumar—claiming that Union Minister Pralhad Joshi and four other BJP leaders offered bribes ranging from 50 to 100 crores to MLAs—are completely unfounded.
In his complaint, Rajeev asserted that Ravikumar is engaging in these baseless claims with malicious intent to defame Minister Pralhad Joshi and other BJP officials. He emphasized that the Congress MLA’s statements not only violate the Prevention of Corruption Act but also harm the credibility of the BJP.
Moreover, Rajeev pointed out that such allegations promote corruption and constitute a criminal offense under the Indian Penal Code. He has urged authorities to take appropriate action against Ravikumar for his remarks, which he believes are intended to mislead the public and discredit the ruling party.
